Aboriginal people have walked, hunted, cared for and respected this land
they called ‘Australia’ for many thousands of years. This painting is
called ‘The Oldest Living Culture’ and it represents our Survival. All
tribes lived respectfully and harmoniously with the land and the animals. Their
connection to the land and intricate systems allowed them to live sustainably
for over 60,000 years. They have survived, adapted and lived through two ice
ages, the great flood and colonisation. The knowledge and stories have been
passed down from generation to generation. My people are the longest living continuous culture
in the world today. I am very proud of my culture.
